Families of our Hancock County Catholic Churches,
In a progressive motion towards centralizing our CCD program, we are offering classes this year at both Immaculate Conception, Carthage and Sts. Peter & Paul, Nauvoo ONLY. Also NEW this year - Fr. Tony (or a church clergy member) will be meeting with the students for a portion of every class as a nice addition to our program!
Registration for CCD 2024-2025 is now OPEN! Things to KNOW before registering:
SCHEDULE: Please review and choose whichever locations schedule best accommodates your families schedule! These dates are just for CCD classes, sacraments will be scheduled at a later date. You must attend the location you choose for ALL classes!

HOME SCHOOL: Understanding time and schedule restraints affecting families, we have no problem with homeschool.
If you are interested in this option - expectations will be as follows:
You will utilize our suggested/provided materials and be dedicated to using them to teach your child/children. (If there is a program you prefer using, we can absolutely discuss that!)
You will stay in touch and communicate easily regarding important dates, interviews and/or meetings with the priest and/or religious education coordinator, and your child/children's progress throughout the year.
You will provide any documentation upon completion of the program that is requested.
SACRAMENTS: It is required that children preparing for Sacraments attend religious education for 2 consecutive years before receiving them.
No worries - no matter where your child attends CCD classes, they will still be able to receive their sacraments of First Communion and First Reconciliation in your home church! Confirmation location will be determined at a later date, and will be all Confirmation students from the County in one location, as always, because of the Bishop joining us for that sacrament.
FEE: The fee is $35 for one child, $50 for two children from a family, $65 for three children, and $80 for four children. This helps cover the cost of our books and supplies and will be collected at our first class. If it is a problem, the fee can be negotiated. Contact Fr. Tony privately and he can confidentially discuss this with you.
VOLUNTEERS: We will be needing catechists again for the 2024-2025 CCD year at both locations! Please consider helping us be able to offer a successful program for our youth. They are the future of our church! Our curriculum programs will help walk you through it! If you feel in your heart that you would be able to help us out in any way - please reach out to me!
Thank you for your help in building and continuing our CCD program. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions!
